Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft shortening (part butter)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. Gold Medal flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix shortening, sugar and eggs thoroughly.
    Measure flour by dip-level-pour method.
    Mix flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Stir in.
    Form into balls the size of small walnuts.
    Roll balls in mixture of the 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon.
    Place about 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Makes 5 to 6 dozen cookies.
