Lemon Filling - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 c. water
1 egg yolk, slightly beaten
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. grated lemon peel
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation

In saucepan, mix the sugar, cornstarch and dash of salt.
Add water, egg yolk and lemon juice.
Cook over medium heat until thick, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; add lemon peel and butter.
Cool.
Makes 4 cups.
