Jambalaya - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 oz. sliced bacon, cut into squares
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 medium green peppers, cut in 1/2-inch strips
1 c. uncooked long-grain rice
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 c. canned tomatoes
1/2 tsp. dried thyme
1 tsp. salt
freshly ground Creole pepper
approximately 1 qt. chicken broth
8 oz. smoked ham, cut in strips
1 lb. medium, raw shrimp, deveined
freshly chopped parsley
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In a 4-quart pot, fry bacon until brown, but not crisp.
Remove bacon from drippings, drain and reserve.
