Leisel'S Kahlua - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. water
    3 c. sugar
    1/4 c. instant coffee
    1 qt. vodka
    1 vanilla bean
Preparation
    Boil water and dissolve the sugar.
    Add instant coffee and dissolve.
    Remove from heat and let cool.
    Add vodka and mix. Pour into 2 quart bottles.
    Split vanilla bean in half and put in each bottle.
    Store for 2 weeks in a dark place.
    Serve over chipped ice and add milk of cream, if desired.
