Mammaw'S Skillet Molasses Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. molasses
1 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. allspice
1 c. boiling water
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda

Preparation

Mix sugar and molasses with mixer.
Add flour with soda and spices.
Add egg and then hot water; mix well.
Bake in greased and floured 8-inch iron skillet.
Bake at 325\u00b0 until it springs back when touched.
