Old Fashioned Chocolate Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. homogenized milk
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cocoa
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3 egg yolks
Preparation
    Scald milk; mix sugar, cocoa and cornstarch by sifting.
    Beat egg yolks with a fork; add about 1/2 cup scalded milk to yolks, then add mixture back to rest of milk.
    Slowly mix milk with sifted ingredients.
    Cook in double boiler until thickened, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat and add butter (or margarine) and vanilla.
