Grama Muir'S Chocolate Cake(1926) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 whole eggs
    3/4 scant c. butter
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1/2 c. sour milk
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. flour
    pinch of salt
    1 c. boiling water (mix soda in it)
Preparation
    Beat eggs, salt, butter and sugar to a cream.
    Then add dry cocoa, sour milk and flour to the mixture.
    To this, add 1 cup boiling water with soda and beat 5 minutes.
    Grease and flour an 8 or 9-inch round pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until done.
