Hash Browns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium potatoes
    1 Tbsp grated onion
    1/4 c melted butter
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Boil 3 medium potatoes; chill.
    Peel and shred to make 3 cups.
    Add 1 to 2 Tbsp grated onion, 1 Tsp salt and dash pepper. Melt 1/4 c butter in a 10-inch skillet.
    Put potatoes into a pan, leaving 1/2 inch space around edge.
    Brown about 9 minutes. Reduce heat
    if necessary.
    Cut with spatula to make 4 wedges; turn.
    Brown 7 minutes longer, till golden.
