Ingredients

1 1/4 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1 egg, beaten
1 c. milk
2 Tbsp. salad oil or melted shortening
Preparation

Combine dry ingredients, add egg, oil and milk.
Mix.
Batter will be lumpy.
