Five Layer Dinner - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 tsp. seasoned salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. parsley flakes (optional)
    1/2 to 1 tsp. chili powder
    1 to 1 1/2 c. cooked green lima beans, drained
    1 to 1 1/2 c. whole grain corn, drained
    4 medium tomatoes
    1/2 to 1 c. grated sharp cheese
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Chop onion; place in pan with shortening.
    Add ground beef and cook until brown.
    Pour off excess fat.
    Add chili powder; mix well.
    Place meat in casserole dish as first layer, then green lima beans and the corn.
    Pour tomatoes over the corn; sprinkle with pepper.
    Mix sugar and salt and sprinkle over each layer, except on cheese.
    Top with grated cheese and parsley.
    Bake 25 minutes.
    Serve hot.
