Southern Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    4 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. cold milk
    3/4 c. cold grapefruit juice
Preparation
    Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Cut in shortening until size of small peas.
    Add milk and grapefruit juice all at once.
    Mix quickly.
    This mixture will be quite moist.
    Knead on well-floured board a few times.
    Roll and cut out biscuits.
