Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 3/4 c. flour
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    3 beaten eggs
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Blend first 3 ingredients well.
    Add eggs and milk.
    Put on floured board and knead gently until firm.
    Roll very thin and let stand 30 minutes.
    Put into
    chicken or squirrel broth, boiling vigorously.
    Cook until done or about 30 minutes.
