Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. round steak
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. soy sauce
    2 1/2 c. water
    onions
    3 medium carrots, cut in strips
    3 bell peppers, cut in strips
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    fluffy rice
Preparation
    Cut steak into small cubes.
    Brown in shortening about 5 minutes or until tender.
    Add soy sauce and water; simmer about 10 minutes.
    Add onion; simmer 5 minutes.
    Add peppers; cook until tender.
    Thicken with cornstarch and serve over steamed rice. Makes 4 servings.
