Red-Eye Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. stew meat
1 large onion
1 pod garlic
5 or 6 potatoes
2 cans tomato sauce
1/2 c. cooking oil
3 Tbsp. chili powder
Preparation

Put cooking oil in skillet and get hot.
Salt and pepper meat; sear good.
Add onion and garlic; sear (mince onion).
Add the tomato sauce and chili powder.
Add water to about 1-inch from top. Put lid on and cook about 2 hours on medium heat, then add the potatoes which have been cut up in small pieces.
Put lid back on and cook about 30 minutes or until potatoes are done.
