Fresh Pear Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    3 eggs
    1 1/2 c. oil
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. finely chopped pears
Preparation
    Sift together the first 7 ingredients.
    Add the eggs, oil and vanilla. Mix well and add the pears. Bake in tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes (or a little longer).
    Nuts may be added.
