Mexican Creole Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
3/4 c. Wesson oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 Tbsp. cocoa
dash of salt
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. boiling water
Preparation

Cream together the sugar, vanilla and eggs.
Sift together the flour, cocoa and salt.
Add flour mixture to sugar mixture, alternating with buttermilk.
Mix baking soda with boiling water and add to mixture (makes a very thin batter).
Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan for 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
