Ingredients

9 c. sliced, peeled apples
1/2 c. apple cider
1 Tbsp.lemon juice
1/2 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
Preparation

Combine apples, cider
and lemon juice in 3-quart saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat and simmer until apples are tender,
about 20 minutes.
Add sugar, salt and nutmeg; cook 1 minute longer.
Break
up apples into chunks.
Cool and refrigerate until serving time.
Makes about 1 quart.
