Nannie'S Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. water
    1 qt. 5% vinegar
    1/2 c. canning salt
    10 to 12 lb. pickling cucumbers
    fresh dill
    onion
    garlic
    dried red pepper (optional)
Preparation
    Mix
    water, vinegar and canning salt.
    Bring to rolling boil. prepare jars, heating in dishwasher or on stove.
    Stuff jars with dill, 1/8 onion, 1 large garlic clove, cucumbers and pepper.
    Pour boiling water mixture in stuffed jars.
    Seal and hot water bathe 15 minutes.
