Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 qt. buttermilk
    6 c. All-Bran
    2 c. boiling water
    5 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. salt
    5 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cream shortening with sugar; add eggs one at a time.
    Pour in buttermilk.
    Mix together 2 cups All-Bran and boiling water; add to first mixture.
    Sift together flour, salt and soda.
    Add to mixture.
    Add 4 cups All-Bran and mix.
    Bake in greased muffin pans at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Will keep in refrigerator 1 month. Do not stir.
    Dip out.
    Makes 4 to 5 dozen, depending on size of pan.
