Caramel Snack Mix - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. Rice Chex
    6 c. Corn Chex
    6 c. Crispix
    1 c. butter
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/2 c. corn syrup
Preparation
    Grease 3 (15 x 10 x 1-inch) baking pans.
    Set aside.
    In large heatproof bowl, combine cereal and set aside.
    In heavy saucepan over medium heat, bring butter, brown sugar and corn syrup to boil, stirring frequently.
    Reduce heat, simmer uncovered for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla.
    Pour over cereal and stir until well coated.
    Transfer to pans and spread out to thin layer.
    Bake uncovered at 200\u00b0 for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
    Cool completely.
    Break apart and store in airtight containers.
