Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. sirloin steak
    1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1 can French onion soup
    1 can consomme
    1 large green pepper, diced
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. water
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce
    2 tomatoes
    3 to 4 c. hot rice
Preparation
    Cut steak into thin strips.
    Season with garlic salt and brown in oil.
    Stir in onion soup, consomme and soy sauce.
    Cover and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Add green pepper; cover and simmer for another 5 minutes.
    Mix cornstarch and water together to form a thickening.
    Add cornstarch thickening to meat; stir.
    Add tomatoes, if desired.
    Cover and boil for 1 minute.
    Serve over hot rice.
