"Grace'S" Strawberry Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. sliced strawberries
    2 qt. boiling water
    4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Place
    sliced
    strawberries
    in
    colander; pour boiling water over
    berries.
    Drain.
    Place
    berries
    in a heavy pan. Add
    2 cups of the sugar; bring to a boil.
    Boil slowly for 5 minutes, then
    add
    2 more cups of sugar.
    Boil for another 5 minutes.
    Let set overnight.
    Seal cold;
    refrigerate.
    Keeps several
    months in refrigerator.
    Great on hot cakes, waffles or any hot bread.
