Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. granulated sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    4 medium-size green tomatoes, sliced 1/2-inch thick
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar, salt and pepper on a piece of waxed paper. Coat tomato slices with flour mixture.
    Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
    Add tomatoes in a single layer. Cook 3 to 4 minutes per side until lightly browned and just barely tender.
    Remove to serving platter.
    Repeat with remaining butter and tomatoes.
