Grits Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. boiling water
    1 tsp. butter or margarine
    2 (8 oz.) pkg. instant grits
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. milk
    fine cracker meal
Preparation
    Pour water over butter and instant grits in 9-inch loaf pan, stirring to blend well.
    Cover; chill until firm.
    Cut chilled grits in 4 pieces.
    Coat each with all-purpose flour.
    Beat together the eggs and milk.
    Dip each grits piece into egg mixture; roll in cracker meal.
    Fry in skillet until golden brown. Serve with syrup.
