Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. solid shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    4 tsp. milk
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tub ready made cream cheese frosting
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add egg and milk. Beat until light and fluffy. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Divide dough in half and wrap in plastic wrap. Chill at least 1 hour. Use half of dough at a time. Turn out on lightly floured surface. Roll and cut in desired shapes. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375\u00b0 for
    6 to 8 minutes. Cool slightly. Remove from pan. Cool on racks or waxed paper. Frost and decorate as desired. Yields 2 dozen.
