Black Bean Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. black beans
3 qt. water
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper
1 large onion
1 stalk celery with leaves, chopped
2 large cloves garlic
white part of 1 leek
1/4 c. salad oil
1 large bay leaf
1/2 c. Madeira or sherry
2 lemons, thinly sliced
sour cream
Preparation

Wash and pick over beans.
Put them in a large soup kettle with the water and let soak overnight.
Do not drain.
