Apricot Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 c. dried apricots, cut up
    1/2 c. nuts
    1 tsp. almond flavoring
Preparation
    Soak apricots in hot water for 5 minutes (drain).
    Cream the shortening, sugar and egg.
    Add dry ingredients.
    Alternate with buttermilk.
    Fold in apricots and nuts.
    Bake one hour at 350\u00b0.
