Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can (20 oz.) unsweetened pineapple chunks
    2 cans (11 oz.) mandarin oranges
    1 or 2 apples, cut in chunks
    4 bananas, sliced
    1 pkg. (4 3/4 oz.) vanilla pudding mix (cook and serve type)
    grapes or other fruits of choice (canned peaches, pears or cherries)
Preparation
    Drain canned fruit and put juice into a heavy 1-quart saucepan.
    Add pudding mix and cook until mixture becomes clear. Cool. Add all fruit to sauce when cool.
    Fold together and chill.
