Southern Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. sugar
1 c. butter or shortening
5 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add one egg at a time, beating well after each egg.
Fold in sifted flour and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
Bake in a slow oven at 350\u00b0 in a tube pan for 1 hour.
