Peppered Rib-Eye Of Beef - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (5 lb.) beef rib-eye roast
1/2 c. coarsely ground pepper
1/2 tsp. ground cardamon seed
1 Tbsp. tomato paste
1 c. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. paprika
3/4 c. vinegar
1 1/4 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation

Trim fat from beef.
Sprinkle pepper and cardamon seed over beef; press in with heel of hand.
Place beef in close-fitting dish.
Mix tomato paste with soy sauce; add garlic powder, paprika and vinegar.
Pour over beef; marinate overnight.
Remove beef, reserving marinade.
Wrap tightly in foil.
Place in pan; let stand at room temperature for one hour.
Bake in 300\u00b0
oven for about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Remove beef from oven.
Combine 1 cup water, 1 cup pan juices and small amount reserved marinade; pour into saucepan.
Mix cornstarch with 1/4 cup water; stir into pan juices mixture.
Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Slice thin; serve with gravy.
Serves 10.
