Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
3 ripe bananas
2 tsp. lemon juice
3 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nut meats
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar well.
Add beaten eggs; mix well. Put bananas through sieve.
Add lemon juice, then add to creamed mixture.
Sift remaining dry ingredients together; mix quickly with banana mixture.
Stir in nuts.
Pour into greased 9-inch loaf pan.
Bake for about 1 hour at 375\u00b0.
