Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck green tomatoes
    6 peppers (red and yellow or all green)
    6 onions
    1 stalk celery
    3/4 scant c. salt
    4 lb. sugar
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    2 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. ground cloves
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1 qt. vinegar
Preparation
    Grind first 4 ingredients through fine blade.
    Add salt.
    Mix well and let stand 3 hours or overnight.
    Drain well (I drain it overnight).
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Bring to boil; cook 10 minutes or longer until slightly thick.
    Makes approximately 9 pints.
