Ingredients

1/2 lb. dried figs
1 c. Tawny Port
2 c. chopped onions
1 stick plus (?) 1 Tbsp. butter (unsalted)
1 lb. chicken livers, trimmed and halved
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. sage
2 tsp. lemon juice
Preparation

Begin by preparing the figs.
Slice each fig in thirds; let marinate in the Tawny Port for 1 hour.
