Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Planters salted peanuts
    2 c. white sugar
    1 c. white corn syrup
    3 Tbsp. margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Combine sugar, syrup and water in a heavy 3-quart pan.
    Mix and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves.
    Cook until mixture reaches 285\u00b0.
    Remove from heat at once.
    Stir in peanuts and margarine.
    Return to heat, stirring, until mixture reaches 295\u00b0.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in vanilla and baking soda.
    Stir to blend (fast).
    Mixture will foam.
    Pour on large buttered baking sheet.
    Break in pieces when cold.
