Best-Ever Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. noodles
    1 lb. ground round steak
    butter
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1/2 lb. cottage cheese
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1/4 c. sour cream
    1/3 c. minced scallions
    1 Tbsp. minced green pepper
Preparation
    Early in the day, cook the noodles.
    Saute the ground round steak in butter.
    Stir in the tomato sauce; remove from heat. Combine the remaining ingredients.
    In a 2-quart casserole, spread one-half of the noodles.
    Cover with the cheese mixture; add the remaining noodles.
    Pour 2 tablespoons melted butter over the noodles.
    Add the meat mixture, then chill.
