Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    1/2 c. bacon drippings
    1/2 Tbsp. soda
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 lb. hamburger meat
    1 c. sweet milk
    1/2 Tbsp. salt
    1 (No. 3) can cream-style corn
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 jalapeno peppers (optional)
Preparation
    Brown hamburger; set aside.
    Sprinkle cornmeal in greased skillet and brown.
    Mix all except cheese, onion, peppers and beef together to form batter.
    Pour 1/2 batter mixture into skillet.
    On top of this add beef.
    Sprinkle Cheddar cheese.
    Sprinkle with chopped onion and pepper.
    Top with remaining batter and bake 45 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
