Irish Soda Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. caraway seed (optional)
    1/4 c. margarine
    2 c. raisins
    1 1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 egg
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Stir dry ingredients together. Cut in margarine until it resembles corn meal. Combine buttermilk, egg and soda. Add to flour mixture and stir until just moistened. Knead lightly and shape into ball.
    Place on flat greased pan. Cut a cross on top to allow for expansion. Brush top with milk.
    Bake for 70 minutes.
