Persimmon Or Date Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dates or 16 oz. persimmon
    1/2 lb. pecans
    1/2 lb. black walnuts
    4 eggs, separated
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. salt
    1 c. raisins
Preparation
    Chop dates or persimmons.
    Add to raisins and nuts.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
    Mix thoroughly with fruit.
    Beat egg yolks.
    Add sugar and vanilla.
    Pour over flour and fruit-nut mix.
    Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in fruit.
    Bake in tube pan for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
