Mary'S Fresh Strawberry (Or Peach) Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
dash of salt
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
1/4 c. strawberry or peach gelatin powder
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 pt. fresh strawberries, washed and stemmed or peaches
1 pie shell (9-inch), baked or graham cracker crust
whipped cream or Cool Whip
Preparation

Combine sugar, salt and cornstarch in saucepan. Stir in water gradually. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add gelatin powder. Stir until dissolved.
Stir in lemon juice. Cool glaze.
Arrange strawberries in baked pie shell. Pour glaze over berries and refrigerate until set, about 4 hours.
Top with Cool Whip before serving.
