Winter Lentil Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 medium onions, chopped
    2 carrots, chopped
    8 c. beef stock, heated
    2 1/2 Tbsp. tomato paste
    2 c. lentils, washed
    1 clove garlic
    1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Heat butter in large saucepan over medium heat.
    Add onions and carrots and cook 5 minutes.
    Add beef stock and tomato paste.
    Mix well and season.
    Stir in lentils, garlic and parsley.
    Bring to boil.
    Reduce heat to low and cook for 1 1/2 hours, partly covered, over low heat.
