Delicate Fluff Pancakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    1 2/3 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks well.
    Beat in buttermilk and soda.
    Then add flour, baking powder, salt and sugar (sifted together).
    Stir to blend, but do not overmix.
    Stir in melted shortening and fold in egg whites, beaten until stiff, but not dry.
    Bake on a hot griddle.
    Makes about 16 to 18 pancakes, depending on size.
