Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. warm applesauce
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening (butter or margarine)
1 c. raisins
1 c. walnuts, chopped
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 1/2 tsp. soda
1/8 tsp. salt

Preparation

Stir soda and shortening into warm applesauce.
Mix sugar, shortening and applesauce while warm.
Add raisins, walnuts, flour, cinnamon and cloves; mix well.
Bake 1 hour in slow oven (325\u00b0).
