Overnight Caramel French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    2 Tbsp. corn syrup
    1 loaf unsliced bread
    6 eggs, beaten
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine sugar, butter and corn syrup in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, about 5 minutes. Pour syrup mixture in a 9 x 13-inch cake pan. Cut bread in thick slices and place on top of syrup mixture. Combine eggs, milk, vanilla and salt. Beat well. Pour over bread slices. Cover and chill overnight. Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve with warm syrup.
