Apple-Raisin Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    2 eggs, beaten
    2/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 c. sweetened applesauce
    1 c. quick or old-fashioned oats, uncooked
    1 c. raisins, plumped
    1/3 c. vegetable oil or melted shortening
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder, soda, salt and spices.
    Add sugar, eggs and applesauce.
    Beat until well blended.
    Stir in oats, raisins and oil.
    Spoon into greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
    Bake 1 hour in 350\u00b0 oven.
    Remove from pan immediately and cool.
    Slices better the second day.
