Boston Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white Karo
    3/4 c. half and half
    nuts (if desired)
Preparation
    Cook the first 3 ingredients until soft ball (234\u00b0 to 240\u00b0). Beat until creamy and thick.
    Add nuts, if desired.
    Pour out into buttered pan.
    Stir until sugar dissolves, then no more. Cool; cut into squares.
