Mary Suddarth'S Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. celery, chopped
    1/2 c. carrots, chopped
    2 qt. water *
    1 qt. milk
    8 medium potatoes, pared and chopped
    1/2 c. onions, chopped
    1 tsp. parsley flakes
    1/4 stick butter
    1 small can evaporated milk
Preparation
    Cook celery, onions and carrots until done in the water.
    Add potatoes; cook until just tender.
    Add milk and evaporated milk. Cook until this boils.
    You may want to thicken slightly.
