Money Saver Soup(Bean) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. navy beans
    1/4 c. black-eyed peas
    1 c. carrots, diced
    1 c. potatoes, diced
    1 c. celery, diced
    2 c. onions, diced
    2 garlic cloves, slivered
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1 Tbsp. oregano
    1 lb. home canned tomatoes
    2 slices raw bacon (optional)
    1 pinch rosemary (optional)
Preparation
    Soak dried beans overnight in water to cover.
    Drain.
    Cook for 1 1/2 hours in 6 cups fresh water on simmer.
    Add all other ingredients and simmer for 30 to 45 minutes longer.
    Serve.
    This soup freezes well and is even better the next day.
