Sweet Potato Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 c. cooked mashed sweet potatoes
    1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter, soft
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    about 2 c. flour
Preparation
    Combine egg, sweet potatoes, sugar, butter and shortening in a mixing bowl; mix well.
    Stir in enough flour to make a soft dough. (Dough will be softer than regular biscuit dough.)
    Turn out on a floured surface; knead lightly a few times.
    Roll to 1/4-inch thickness; cut with a 2-inch biscuit cutter.
    Place on an ungreased baking sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 15 minutes. Yields about 16 biscuits.
