Southern Veggies Over Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon
    3 large diced onions
    1 can stewed tomatoes
    2 cans black-eyed peas
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen okra
    rice or pasta
    2 tsp. chili powder
    2 tsp. sugar
    2 tsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Cook bacon until transparent; add onions and cook slowly.
    Add tomatoes; turn up heat and add spices and peas.
    Cook 30 to 40 minutes.
    Add okra and cook 30 minutes or more.
    Better flavor after it ages some (eat next day).
    Serve over rice or pasta.
