Naomi Chambliss' Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box Betty Crocker German chocolate cake mix
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. Kraft caramels
    1/2 c. Pet milk
    2 sticks margarine
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
    small amount of coconut (if desired)
Preparation
    Mix cake mix as directed.
    Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch sheet cake pan.
    Pour half the batter in pan.
    Spread evenly.
    Bake 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Melt Kraft caramels with milk and margarine. Pour caramel mixture over cake.
    Sprinkle chocolate chips and chopped pecans over caramel mixture.
    Add small amount of coconut, if desired.
    Pour remaining batter into pan.
    Bake 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool before serving.
